What makes young people tick?

Admittedly a provocative and general question and the answer was often: “I would like to know that too”. We speak the same language, but often miss each other. Why should we communicate on an equal footing?and what is the benefit for those involved. What are the values of the young people and do they know their own values. What makes young people tick, do they want an answer and more background knowledge … and what does it all have to do with a compass ?!
