In the right place

I took this picture in early 2020 during my vacation in New Zealand, it was a moment on the North Island on the Tasman Sea. What was it about this situation that concerned me? On the one hand it was the wonderful day, about 25 degrees warm, light sea breeze and the sound of the waves in the background.

On the other hand, it was also this calm, this ‘now in here’, this person who simply leaned against a tree and probably enjoyed the view of the Tasman Sea. Maybe it was just a quick lunch break, maybe just a quick stop to rest. In any case, it was a very intimate moment for me that I was able to capture here. It was consistent and just perfect in itself. He was right the way he was and in the right place at the right time.

And how often can we say this about ourselves? When was the last time you were in the right place at the right time?
